Service Description

Adventure Sea Swimming Weekend with Channel Swimmer Angus McChesney. Weekend includes a day aboard a swim charter vessel exploring the remote beaches and coves of the Isle of Wight. On this weekend you'll be swimming from our charter fishing boat, Reel Easy, in deep water, landing on remote beaches, and exploring sea caves. We'll teach you about the complex tidal flows at the western end of the Isle of Wight and how to use this information to plan your own safe swims. There will be an 'A to B' tidal assisted swim of between 1-2km and also the chance to develop your long distance sea swimming technique. Accommodation and meals are at our base, Tiptoe Lodge. Please note that the price contains a £50 per head surcharge for the boat trip, which is refundable if the trip is not possible due to poor weather. Optional extras include: group swimmers' yoga session (1 hour, £10); individual sports massage (1 hour, £45). About Tiptoe Lodge: usually our family home located in the stunning New Forest National Park, we specialise in looking after small groups (up to 10 people) taking part in wholesome weekend activities, such as yoga, art and sewing (as well as swimming!) Most guests share in twin or double rooms but single occupancy is available by request and with a supplement payable. Delicious healthy and nutritious meals and snacks are eaten communally around our kitchen table. Getting here and around: At the beginning and end of the weekend we can collect and drop off swimmers at Brockenhurst or Sway stations, served by direct trains from London and the Midlands.
