Seaweed foraging and cooking weekend with Lucia Stuart. Friday, August 18 - Sunday, August 20. Prices: £400 sharing a twin or double room, £500 for single occupancy. Please contact us to book at firstname.lastname@example.org. During the weekend, you'll learn all about the different types of British seaweed and how to prepare and cook them. The weekend will include a special seaweed foraging, sea swimming and mackerel fishing voyage to the Isle of Wight aboard one of our charter boats. Lucia Stuart is an artist, cook, forager & author who runs the Wild Food Kitchen on the South East Coast of England, a roving restaurant that combines gourmet feasts with foraging adventures. Lucia takes groups foraging and teaches them how to use the food they find. She has featured on BBC TV, Channel 4, Food Network USA & collaborated with international artists to share her knowledge of nature’s bounty through the seasons. This winter, Lucia will feature on Arte, European Television, as an example of ‘cutting edge’, 21st century outdoor dining in a documentary about ‘The History of the British Picnic”. About Tiptoe Lodge: usually our family home located in the stunning New Forest National Park, we specialise in looking after small groups (up to 10 people) taking part in wholesome weekend activities, such as yoga, art and sewing (as well as swimming!) Most guests share in twin or double rooms but single occupancy is available by request and with a supplement payable. Delicious healthy and nutritious meals and snacks are eaten communally around our kitchen table. Getting here and around: At the beginning and end of the weekend we can collect and drop off swimmers at Brockenhurst or Sway stations, served by direct trains from London and the Midlands.
