Important pre-swim information
In order to keep everyone safe it is essential that all swimmers complete our pre-swim questionnaire before joining one of our swim experiences. This will give you the opportunity to tell us in confidence about any pre-existing medical conditions, swim experience and next of kin contact details.
Required equipment:
All of our swims will specify any specific kit requirement beforehand, such as tow-floats, wetsuits, coloured hats etc. Occasionally our swim guide will specify that swimmers must use certain pieces of safety equipment or follow a particular route. If so, we will always offer to loan items such as tow floats and swim hats. The safety instructions of our swim guide must be followed at all times.
Retreats: deposits, cancellations and refunds
Deposits
A 50% deposit is payable in advance, which secures the dates, with the balance to be paid no less than 14 days before arrival.
Cancellations and refunds
You must write to us to let us know that you wish to cancel.
If you wish to cancel more than thirty days before the scheduled arrival date your deposit will be returned in full.
For cancellations within thirty days of the scheduled arrival date, no refunds will be paid and the deposit will be kept by us as the cancellation fee.
If a cancellation is made within fourteen days of the start date, the cancellation fee will be the full amount paid.
In the event of any cancellation within the 30 days we are happy for you to fill the vacant place, in which case an administration fee of £50 may be applicable instead of the cancellation fee.
We can only run your swimming retreat with a minimum of eight people (capacity is twelve), so if cancellations push numbers below eight then we reserve the right to refund all money paid, less administration fees of £50 per person, and offer the dates to another group.
Day trips: cancellations and refunds
PLEASE NOTE: exact swim locations will always depend on weather conditions, sea state and tide.
Cancellation: if we decide that conditions on the day are not suitable for ANY swimming, all swimmers will be offered either: an alternative date; a credit which can be used on a future date; or a full refund.
NOTICE PERIOD: we always aim to let swimmers know if we intend to cancel a trip 48 hours before departure.
If swimmers choose to cancel, then our cancellation fee will be the full amount paid at the time of cancellation. It is possible to substitute a swimmer as long as the replacement swimmer has fulfilled our pre-swim criteria. We will always do our best to resell a cancelled place, in which case we will return your booking fee less a 20% administration charge.
